This Statement of Faith does not exhaust the full extent of our beliefs. We believe that the Bible, as the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God, is the supreme and final authority concerning truth, morality, doctrine, and the proper conduct of mankind. It is the sole and sufficient standard by which all our beliefs, teachings, and practices are to be evaluated.
Questions concerning the Church's doctrinal position, ministry practices, and church policies shall be addressed by the Council of Elders in accordance with this Constitution, the Church's Bylaws, and applicable laws.
We believe in one sovereign God, eternally existing in three distinct Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each Person is fully God, sharing the same divine nature and attributes. God is the independent Creator of heaven and earth and is eternal, all-knowing, all-powerful, perfectly holy, just, loving, and completely truthful.
Genesis 1:1, 26–27; Psalm 90:2; Isaiah 6:3; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Peter 1:2.
We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. Through His precious blood, He offered Himself as the perfect and sufficient sacrifice for sin once and for all.
We believe that Jesus Christ rose bodily from the dead on the third day, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father, where He reigns as Head of the Church and intercedes for believers. We believe that He will return bodily and visibly to establish His Kingdom and fulfill God's eternal purposes.
Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 1:22–23; John 1:1–5, 14; Hebrews 4:14–15; 7:25; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Romans 1:3–4; Acts 1:9–11; Ephesians 1:22; Titus 2:13.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is fully God and possesses all divine attributes. He convicts the world concerning sin, righteousness, and judgment; regenerates those who believe in Jesus Christ; indwells and seals every believer at the moment of salvation; and empowers believers to live a godly Christian life.
We believe that believers are commanded to be continually filled with the Holy Spirit, submitting to His guidance and depending on His power for Christian living, service, and spiritual growth.
John 16:7–13; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:9–11; 1 Corinthians 3:16; Ephesians 1:13–14; 5:18; Galatians 5:16, 25.
We believe that the Bible, consisting of sixty-six books—thirty-nine in the Old Testament and twenty-seven in the New Testament—is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God. It is God's written revelation and our supreme and final authority in all matters of faith, doctrine, and Christian conduct.
We affirm the authority, sufficiency, clarity, and necessity of Scripture for knowing God's truth and living a life pleasing to Him. No human tradition, personal opinion, or other authority may supersede the teaching of God's Word.
Psalm 19:7–11; 119:105; 2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Proverbs 30:5.
We believe that salvation, including the forgiveness of sins, justification, regeneration, and the gift of eternal life, is entirely by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ. It is a free gift that cannot be earned through good works, water baptism, church membership, religious activities, or human effort.
A person receives salvation by personally trusting in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Good works are not the means of obtaining salvation but are its expected fruit in the life of a genuine believer.
John 1:12; 14:6; Romans 5:1; 6:23; Galatians 3:26; Ephesians 2:8–10; Titus 3:5.
We believe that all who have genuinely received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are eternally secure in Him. Those who are truly born again are kept by the power of God and cannot lose their salvation.
We believe that genuine believers are called to persevere in faith and obedience. Although believers may stumble and fall into sin, God remains faithful to preserve and discipline His children. Good works and perseverance are not the basis of salvation but are the expected evidence of genuine saving faith.
John 10:27–29; Romans 8:16, 38–39; Ephesians 1:13–14; Philippians 1:6; Hebrews 12:5–11; 1 Peter 1:3–5; 1 John 5:11–13.
We believe that water baptism by immersion is an act of obedience to the command of Jesus Christ and a public testimony of a person's personal faith in Him. It symbolizes the believer's identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection and represents the believer's new life in Him.
We believe that baptism is intended for those who have personally placed their faith in Jesus Christ. It is not a means of salvation but an expression of obedience and public identification with Christ.
Matthew 28:19; Mark 1:9; Acts 2:41; Romans 6:3–4; Colossians 2:12.
We believe that the Lord's Supper is an ordinance established by Jesus Christ for His Church. Through the bread and the cup, believers remember and proclaim the death of the Lord Jesus Christ until He comes again. It is a solemn act of remembrance, proclamation, and fellowship that should be observed with self-examination and reverence.
Matthew 26:26–29; Luke 22:19–20; 1 Corinthians 10:16–17; 11:23–29.
We believe that the Holy Spirit sovereignly gives spiritual gifts to believers for the edification of the Church, the advancement of the Gospel, and the service of others.
We believe that certain miraculous and revelatory gifts associated with the foundational ministry and authentication of the apostles were temporary in purpose and ceased with the completion of the apostolic era. These include the foundational office of apostleship, revelatory prophecy, speaking in tongues, interpretation of tongues, and the extraordinary sign gifts of miraculous healing and miracles.
We believe that the Holy Spirit continues to equip believers with spiritual gifts necessary for the ongoing ministry of the Church, including teaching, serving, exhortation, giving, leadership, administration, mercy, evangelism, and pastoral ministry.
We affirm that God remains sovereign and powerful to perform miracles, heal the sick, answer prayers, and accomplish His purposes according to His will. The cessation of certain spiritual gifts does not mean that God's supernatural power or His ability to intervene in human circumstances has ceased.
Romans 12:6–8; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11, 28; 13:8–10; 2 Corinthians 12:12; Ephesians 2:20; 4:11–13; Hebrews 2:3–4; James 5:14–16.
We believe that every Christian is called to participate in the Great Commission by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and making disciples of all nations. Every believer should be actively involved in helping others establish a personal relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ and in discipling those who respond to the Gospel.
Matthew 28:19–20; 2 Corinthians 5:18–20; 2 Timothy 1:7–8; 4:2.
We believe that good works are not the means of salvation but are the expected fruit of genuine saving faith. True believers are called to live transformed lives characterized by repentance, obedience, love, holiness, and service to others.
Through the power of the Holy Spirit, every believer should pursue a life that honors God, reflects the character of Jesus Christ, and demonstrates the transforming power of the Gospel.
Matthew 5:16; Romans 12:1–2; Ephesians 2:8–10; Galatians 5:22–23; 6:9–10; 1 Timothy 6:18.
We believe that the universal Church is composed of all genuine believers in Jesus Christ, who is its Head. The local church is a congregation of baptized believers who gather for worship, biblical teaching, fellowship, discipleship, the observance of the ordinances, service, and the proclamation of the Gospel.
We believe that the local church is responsible for making disciples, developing spiritually mature believers, equipping members for ministry, and multiplying faithful disciple-makers for the glory of God.
Matthew 16:18; 28:19–20; Acts 2:41–47; Ephesians 1:22–23; 4:11–16; Colossians 1:18.
We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant established by God, consisting of the union of one man and one woman in an exclusive and lifelong relationship. We believe that sexual intimacy is God's design for marriage and is to be expressed only between a husband and his wife.
We believe that the family is a God-ordained institution and that husbands and wives are called to love, honor, and serve one another according to God's Word. Parents have the responsibility to raise their children in the instruction and discipline of the Lord.
The Church recognizes and solemnizes marriage in accordance with biblical principles and applicable Philippine laws.
Genesis 2:18–25; Deuteronomy 6:6–7; Ephesians 5:22–33; 6:1–4; 1 Corinthians 6:18; 7:2–5; Hebrews 13:4.
We believe that every human being is created by God in His image and possesses inherent dignity and worth. Human life is sacred and must be respected and protected from conception until natural death, regardless of age, condition, or physical or mental ability.
We believe that God created humanity as male and female, and that these two distinct and complementary sexes reflect His design and purpose for human life.
Genesis 1:26–27; 5:1–2; Psalm 139:13–16.
We believe in the personal, bodily, and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ. He will fulfill God's promises, establish His Kingdom, judge the living and the dead, and bring His redemptive purposes to completion. This blessed hope calls believers to live faithfully, watchfully, and in anticipation of His coming.
Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Titus 2:13; Revelation 22:12, 20.
OUR COMMITMENT
At Christ-Centered Ministries, we are committed to knowing the truth of God's Word, believing the truth, living the truth, and proclaiming the truth. We believe that sound doctrine should lead to transformed lives, and transformed lives should point others to Jesus Christ.
